This position is responsible for assisting the Chief of Police in the areas of clerical management and customer service.

*Provide assistance to the Chief of Police. responsibilities including distributing departmental and interdepartmental memos, shipping, and maintaining up to date contact information.

  1. *Greet visitors and assist with Customer Service including directing and logging customer service calls, managing answering phone calls.
  2. Provide assistance in compilation of Department Reports.
  3. Assist in planning department events.
  4. Manage and monitor office supply consumption.
  5. Monitor office equipment including copiers, postage machine, and fax.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

  2. Display excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Maintain initiative to preserve the flow of work.

  11. Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, reaching and lifting.
  12. Vision correctable to 20/20.
  13. Provide a safe and healthy work environment.


  1. This position requires working in the internal environment.


  1. Minimum of high school diploma preferred or the demonstrated ability to work at this level based on past work experience.
  2. Previous customer service experience.
  3. Ability to communicate both orally and in written form.
  4. Ability to interface with clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  5. Valid driver's license.
  6. Experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  7. Willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned.
